active substance: chlorhexidine gluconate; 1 pessary contains chlorhexidine gluconate (20%) 85.2 mg, calculated as 100% chlorhexidine 16 mg; excipients: macrogol 1500, macrogol 400.
Medicinal form
Pessaries. The main physical and chemical properties: pessaries are white or white with a yellowish tinge, marbling of the surface is allowed. The presence of an air rod or a funnel-shaped recess is allowed on the cut.

Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics. Chlorhexidine gluconate has a rapid and pronounced effect on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria: Treponema pallidum, Chlamidia spp., Ureaplasma spp., Neisseria gonоrrhоeae, Trichomonas vaginalis. Some strains of Pseudomonas spp., Proteus spp. are weakly sensitive to the drug. Acid-resistant forms of bacteria, bacterial spores, fungi, viruses are not sensitive to the drug. Pharmacokinetics. When used intravaginally, it is practically not absorbed, it does not have a systemic effect.
Indication
For the prevention of venereal diseases (syphilis, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, chlamydia, ureaplasmosis) and infectious-inflammatory complications in obstetrics and gynecology (before surgical treatment of gynecological diseases, before childbirth and abortion, before and after the installation of an intrauterine spiral, before and after diathermocoagulation of the cervix, before intrauterine examinations). For the treatment of bacterial vaginosis, colpitis, cervical erosion.
Contraindication
Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the medicinal product.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction
Chlorhexidine cannot be used together with detergents that contain an anionic group (saponins, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose), as well as with soap. The presence of soap can inactivate chlorhexidine, so before using the drug, soap residues must be thoroughly washed off. The toilet of the external genitalia does not affect the effectiveness and tolerability of suppositories, because the drug is used intravaginally. Simultaneous use with iodine is not recommended.
Features of use
Exposure of hypochlorite bleaching agents to fabrics previously in contact with a preparation containing chlorhexidine may contribute to the appearance of brown spots on the fabric. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Not contraindicated. The ability to influence the speed of reaction when driving vehicles or other mechanisms. Does not affect.
Methods of application
The medicine is used intravaginally. Before use, the pessary is released from the contour packaging. Treatment: use 1 pessary 1–2 times a day for 7–10 days, depending on the nature of the disease. If necessary, it is possible to extend the course of treatment up to 20 days. Prevention of venereal diseases: 1 pessary is used once no later than 2 hours after sexual intercourse. Pregnancy. Taking into account the severity of the infectious process, the data of bacteriological studies, the phenomenon of the threat of termination of pregnancy, the drug is used for 1 pessary 1 or 2 times a day as monotherapy or as part of complex therapy. The duration of use is from 5 to 10 days. When breastfeeding, the drug is used in the usual recommended doses
Overdose
Overdose and toxic effects when using the drug have not been detected.
Side effects
Allergic reactions, itching at the site of pessary injection are possible. Burning and irritation at the site of pessary insertion are possible.
Expiration date
2 years. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not higher than 25 ºС. Keep out of the reach of children.
